     WHEREAS,  moisture has been getting trapped underneath the Peteet Building, causing the floors to buckle, and

 

     WHEREAS,  we received a proposal in the amount of $15,839.00 from Ox Foundations to encapsulate the foundation to stop the moisture from causing damage to the underside of the building, and

 

     WHEREAS,  we received a proposal in the amount of $13,500.00 from Amerson Roofing for replacing the rotted wooden siding that was painted over, and

 

     WHEREAS, the replacement will correct all the deteriorating siding.

 

     NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:

 

     SECTION 1:     Approve the proposals from Ox Foundations and Amerson Roofing to complete the repairs needed.

 

     SECTION 2:     Approve and appropriate the FY24 planned amount of $35,000.00 to account number #400-3020-5130 Peteet Building Improvements

 

     SECTION 3:     This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
