Resolution Approving going to Bid and purchasing (3) Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) and related equipment for the Patrol Division at the Police Department. All three UAV's and related equipment were budgeted for in FY 2023 under Capital Purchase account 100-2010-5100 in the amount of $25,000. It has been determined that only one UAV and related equipment will fall under the capital purchase category, therefore we are requesting to transfer approximately $2,500.00 of the $25,000 budgeted, from the Capital purchase account 100-2010-5100 to the Small Tools account 100-2010-6053 to purchase the remaining (2) UAV'S and related equipment that do not meet the Capital purchase requirements. All items will go to Bid.

WHEREAS, The Police Department is requesting to solicit bids and purchase (3) Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) and related equipment to be used in the Patrol Division, and
WHEREAS, the Police Department is requesting to purchase (1) UAV and related equipment not to exceed $22,500.00 of the $25,000 budgeted under capital purchase account # 100-2010-5100, and
WHEREAS, the Police Department requests to transfer approximately $2,500.00 of the $25,000 budgeted from the capital purchase account 100-2010-5100 to the Small Tools account 100-2010-6053.
WHEREAS, the Foley Police Department requests to purchase the remaining (2) UAV'S and related equipment that do not meet the capital purchase requirements from the Small Tools Account 100-2010-6053 in the approximate amount of $2,500.00.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves going to bid for the purchase of (3) UAV's and related equipment.
SECTION 2: Approves the purchase of (1) UAV and related equipment from the capital purchase account 100-2010-5100 for an amount not to exceed $22,500.
SECTION 3: Approves the transfer of funds in the amount of $2,500.00 from capital purchase account 100-2010-5100 to the small tools account 100-2010-6053.
SECTION 4: Approves the purchase of (2) UAV's and related equipment from Small Tools Account 100-2010-6053, non-capital items for an amount not to exceed $2,500.
SECTION 5: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
