Due to an unforeseen KME plant closure announcement, I am requesting to rescind the resolution to go to bid on a new custom fire pumper.  This will allow me some time to further evaluate the HGAC group purchasing contract possibilities an prepare to recommend a contract purchase in October prior to price increases in November.

     WHEREAS, unforeseen circumstances have created the need to re-evaluate the purchasing options for a new custom fire pumper for the Foley Fire Department, and

     WHEREAS, purchasing from an approved group purchasing contract may be to our advantage at this time.

     NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:

     SECTION 1:     Rescinds Resolution 21-1316 which approved going to bid on a custom fire pumper.

     SECTION 2:     This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
