A Resolution to Accept IRIS Biometric Identification Equipment Donation
Summary
Foley Police Department requests to accept a donation of IRIS Biometric Identification equipment from BI2 technologies to be used as an additional resource related to assisting federal programs or otherwise in the Corrections Division. The value of this equipment is $4,995.00. This equipment is the department's to keep for it's lifetime and we are under no obligation for its continued use. After the initial year, if we choose to continue to use the equipment there will be a $1,570.00 annual maintenance fee which is a discounted rate while funding is available from federal programs. If Foley Police Department decides to discontinue the use of this equipment at any time, BI2 technologies must be notified to cancel the annual maintenance fee.

WHEREAS, BI2 technologies would like to donate IRIS Biometric Identification equipment to the Foley Police Department Corrections Division as an additional resource related to assisting federal programs or otherwise and,
WHEREAS, the Foley Police Department requests permission to accept the IRIS equipment with no obligations.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Accepts this donation of IRIS Biometric Identification equipment.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
