WHEREAS, The total cost of a new 2019 R1500 1/2 Truck from Tallassee Automotive, Inc. is $25,500.00 under under State of Alabama Division of Purchasing Reference Vehicle Contract # T191/#MA 999 16000000028, and
WHEREAS, The new 2019 R1500 1/2 Ton Truck is included in the FY19 Budget under account# 100-3012-5100 for up to $26,000.00, and
WHEREAS, This is a replacement for a 2002 Ford F-250 Truck - Asset# 3266, Vehicle# 301261 (Old 0761), VIN# 1FTNW20L12EC57667, which has 175K Miles on it, is worn out, and is costing too much in repairs, and
WHEREAS, The Street Department also requests that the 2002 Ford F-250 Truck - Asset# 3266, Vehicle# 301261 (Old 0761), VIN# 1FTNW20L12EC57667be declared surplus and disposed of through JM Wood Auction in Montgomery, AL.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves the purchase of a new 2019 R1500 1/2 Pickup Truck from Tallassee Automotive, Inc. under Account# 100-3012-5100 in the total amount of $25,500.00 under State of Alabama Division of Purchasing Reference Vehicle Contract # T191/#MA 999 16000000028, and
SECTION 2: Approves the declaration of the 2002 Ford F-250 Truck - Asset# 3266, Vehicle# 301261 (Old 0761), VIN# 1FTNW20L12EC57667as surplus and the disposal of it through JM Wood Auction in Montgomery, AL
SECTION 3: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
