WHEREAS, each year the South Baldwin Chamber hosts the Gulf Coast Hot Air Balloon Festival in Foley, Alabama, and
WHEREAS, the South Baldwin Chamber is again partnering with OWA to host the Balloon Festival on their property, and
WHEREAS, the City of Foley is an annual sponsor of the festival and annually provides in kind and cash sponsorship to the South Baldwin CHamber for the annual Balloon festival, and
WHEREAS, the Foley City Council has determined this annual festival to be in the interest and benefit of the citizens of Foley and is a good public purpose and therefore authorizes City of Foley staff to assist the South Baldwin Chamber with equipment and support as needed during the setup and operation of the festival.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Authorizes City of Foley staff to assist the South Baldwin Chamber and OWA with equipment and support at the 2022 Annual Gulf Coast Hot Air Balloon Festival located on OWA property on May 12 - May 15, 2022.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
