WHEREAS, the City of Foley solicited and opened bids on November 27, 2012 at 11:15 a.m. for one (1) four-wheel drive, extended cab pickup for the Fire Department, and the results are as follows:

WHEREAS, Stivers Ford Lincoln submitted the lowest responsible bid in the amount of $24,598.24 and Moyer Ford Sales, Inc. submitted a bid in the amount of $25,280.00, a difference of $681.76, and
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Department recommended accepting Moyer Ford's bid utilizing the 3% preference allowed for a resident bidder, and
WHEREAS, the new vehicle will need additional equipment installed.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: In accordance with the local preference accepts Moyer Ford Sales, Inc.'s bid in the amount of $25,280.00 for one (1) four-wheel drive, extended cab pickup for the Fire Department and approves additional vehicle equipment in an amount of up to $2,720.00 under Account No. 02-600-7010.
SECTION 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
