Summary

Description of Topic: I had planned to add tax software to FY25 budget but because of implementation times, we need to move forward with purchasing the module now.  I would like to transfer the balance in the Revenue Office Addition (Capital Project).  We do not anticipate purchasing flooring for a while.  IT has $30,000 for Fiber Expansion he doesn't anticipate to use. and I would like to transfer the balance of what we need from IT's Capital Projects budget to Revenue's Capital Purchase budget. The software purchase will be a one time fee of $15,500.

     WHEREAS, The Revenue Department has an immediate need to purchase sales tax software from CitizenServe at a total cost of $15,500 and,

     WHEREAS, Revenue Department has a surplus of budgeted funds in Capital Project Fund - Revenue Office addition and,

     WHEREAS, IT Department has a surplus of budgeted funds in Capital Project Fund - Fiber Expansion.

     NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:

     SECTION 1:     Approve the transfer of $7,358.94 from IT Capital Project Fund for Fiber Expansion to Revenue Capital Purchases.

     SECTION 2:     Approve the transfer of $8,141.06 from Revenue Capital Project Fund Account # 400-1014-5100 for Revenue Office Addition to Revenue Capital Purchases.

     SECTION 3:     Appropriate $15,500 to Revenue Department Capital Purchases for the purchase of sales tax software from CitizenServe.

     SECTION 4:     This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
