WHEREAS, the City of Foley received a check from ALFA in the amount of $14,929.44 as payment for the wrecked asset and requests to amend the budget accordingly, and
WHEREAS, the Street Department requests the surplus and disposal of asset # 774 - 2023 Portable Message Board - Model# MB14281, VIN #1K9BM9014PT244597, and
WHEREAS, the Street Department is requesting to purchase one (1) Portable Message Board off of GSA Contract # GS-03F-0015Y from K & K Systems for $14,929.44.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Declares asset #774 - 2023 Portable Message Board - Model# MB14281, VIN #1K9BM9014PT244597 as surplus and authorizes disposal by the best possible means.
SECTION 2: Amends the budget to account for the insurance proceeds and offsetting expense: 100-3014-5100 in the amount of $14,929.44 and 100-1012-4703 (Insurance Settlement Account) in the amount of $14,929.44.
SECTION 3: Approves the purchase of one (1) Portable Message Board off of GSA Contract # GS-03F-0015Y from K & K Systems for $14,929.44 under account # 100-3014-5100.
SECTION 4: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
