WHEREAS, the electrical pole located on the south side of East Verbena Avenue has been hit and damaged and needs to be replaced, and
WHEREAS, Engineering is requesting to remove the light pole and replace it on the north side of East Verbena Avenue, which will include having the cables underground, removing the overhead cables, resetting the meter as well as the electrical work to hook up the decorative lighting, and
WHEREAS, Riviera Utilities has provided an estimate for the installation and there will not be a change in our currently monthly utility services bill, and
WHEREAS, as there is funding available in the account, no additional funds are being requested at this time.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves Estimate #1 from Riviera Utilities for the removal of the electrical pole located on the south side of East Verbena Avenue and the install a new light pole on the north side of East Verbena Avenue and the electrical work to hook up the decorative lighting under Account No 400-3020-5101.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
