WHEREAS, the Nature Parks Department is requesting to purchase an ATV for transportation and work within the nature parks, and
WHEREAS, the capital purchase is included in the current year budget for $18,000 under Account #100-5090-5100, and
WHEREAS, Sunsouth, LLC provided a quote for the ATV for $15,117, and
WHEREAS, the Polaris ATV, VIN #3NSRNA572HE886408 is no longer operational, and
WHEREAS, the Nature Parks Department is requesting to declare the Polaris ATV as surplus and send it to the auction for disposal.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Council approves the Nature Parks Department to purchase the ATV from Sunsouth, LLC at the amount of $15,117, and declares the Polaris ATV, VIN # 3NSRNA572HE886408 (asset # 10321), as surplus for auctioning.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
