We are asking for an additional $7,000 to finish this project.

WHEREAS, Resolution 19-1186 appropriated up $30,000 for the Heritage Park Gazebo Steps Project, and
WHEREAS, Sealed Bids were publicly opened at 10:00 am on Tuesday, August 20, 2019, and
WHEREAS, E-J Builders, Inc submitted the lowest responsible bid in the amount of $34,971.25, and
WHEREAS, We need to replace the existing handrail and estimate the cost to be $2,000.00.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Awards the bid to E-J Builders, Inc. in the amount of $34,971.25.
SECTION 2: Approves adding two new fabricated handrails at the cost of $2,000.00.
SECTION 3: Appropriates an additional $7,000.00 under Account No. 400-3020-5145 HPGS.
SECTION 4: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
