Description of Topic: (who, what, where, when, why and how much) The City has received concerns over safety of the intersection of North Pecan Street and Fern Avenue due to inadequate lighting. Riviera has no infrastructure in the vicinity to install lights and we have received a quote from Solar Lighting International for two solar lights to provide illumination of the intersection. Please note: Solar Lighting International is a Sole Source for the solar lights and have a letter attached. We did try to price solar lighting to give us another quote, the attached quote is from DigiKey and is a light from Solar Lighting International and does not include the poles. Our quote includes the lighting and the poles.

WHEREAS, The City has received concerns over the safety of the intersection of North Pecan Street and Fern Avenue due to inadequate lighting, and
WHEREAS, Riviera has no infrastructure in the vicinity to install lights, and
WHEREAS, we received a quote from Solar Lighting International for two solar lights to provide illumination of the intersection
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approve the quote from Solar Lighting International and appropriate $4,700.00 to Account No.100-3020-6012.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
