WHEREAS, the City of Foley solicited and opened bids on January 29, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. for six (6) vehicles for non-patrol sections of the Police Department, and the results are as follows:

WHEREAS, Moyer Ford Sales, Inc. submitted the lowest responsible bid in the amount of $18,753.00 for each vehicle for a total of $112,518.00 for six vehicles, and,
WHEREAS, the Foley Police Department has budgeted a total of $139,000 for vehicles and accessories under Account No. 01-608-7010.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Accepts Moyer Ford Sales, Inc.'s bid in the amount of $18,753.00 for each vehicle for a total of $112,518.00 for six vehicles for non-patrol sections of the Police Department.
SECTION 2: Additional vehicle accessories and installation costs are to be submitted to Council for approval at a future Council meeting. Funds remaining under Account No. 01-608-7010 after the purchase of the vehicles total $26,482 for equipment and installation costs.
SECTION 3: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
