WHEREAS, Foley Fire Department requests permission from Council to apply for the State Farm Good Neighbor Citizenship Company Grant in order to fund the purchase of an inflatable fire safety house and related equipment to be used in the Public Education / Fire Prevention Program in FY 2020, and
WHEREAS, the grant application is due October 31, 2019 with grant decisions to be communicated by the end of the first quarter of 2020.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves the request from Foley Fire Department to apply for the State Farm Good Neighbor Citizenship Company Grant in order to fund the purchase of an inflatable fire safety house and related equipment to be used in the Public Education / Fire Prevention Program.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
