WHEREAS, On Res-21-1051, Council granted permission to the Environmental Department to purchase a new electric vehicle for $35,000, and
WHEREAS, an invitation to bid was released, but no bids were submitted in response to the request, and
WHEREAS, the Environmental Department would like to move forward with a direct purchase with Tesla for the Model 3 Standard Range, and
WHEREAS, the total vehicle price is $39,000 ($4,000 over budget) and Environmental requests to increase the budget and move forward with that purchase.,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Council approves the budget increase to account #100-2040-5100 for $4,000.00.
SECTION 2: Council approves the request to move forward with the direct purchase of the Tesla Model 3 Standard Range for up to $39,000.
SECTION 3: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
