WHEREAS, the Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) acts as the agent for municipalities like the City of Foley to apply for, receive and disburse State funds that are available through the State of Alabama for Airport Improvement Projects, and,
WHEREAS, through Resolution 18-1138-RES, the City of Foley was authorized to apply for and enter into an agreement with the State for matching funds for a project to construct an 8-Unit T-Hangar - Phase II at the Foley Municipal Airport, and,
WHEREAS, ALDOT has entered into an agreement with the City of Foley to provide funding assistance in an amount of fifty (50) percent of the total project cost up to $250,000.
WHEREAS, project funds required to complete the project has been officially approved and allocated to account 400-1070-5103 R37 PROF and CONST.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Amends revenue account #400-1070-5103 R37 STATE by an increase of $250,000.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
