In order to accommodate the needs of and to restructure the Library and Parks and Recreation, we would like to amend the Pay Classification Plan as follows: 1) Convert the Head of Outreach and Programming to Outreach and Programming Librarian in the Library. 2) Convert one Parks Maintenance Worker I in the Parks Division to a Field Maintenance Worker I in the Recreation Division. These are budget neutral actions.

WHEREAS, there is a need to amend the City's Pay Classification Plan in order to accommodate the needs of and to restructure certain positions in the Foley Public Library and the Parks and Recreation Department.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Authorizes the amendment of the Pay Classification Plan in the Library by eliminating the position of Head of Outreach and Programming (Job Code 5020128 / Grade 140) and authorizing the position of Outreach and Programming Librarian (Job Code 5020132 / Grade 120), effective January 2, 2024.
SECTION 2: Authorizes the amendment of the Pay Classification Plan in the Parks and Recreation Department by eliminating one slot in the position of Parks Maintenance Worker I (Job Code 5030118 / Grade 50) and authorizing one slot in the position of Field Maintenance Worker I (Job Code 5030126 / Grade 70).
SECTION 3: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
