Food Trucks - Request for Tables

Summary

Description of Topic: (who, what, where, when, why and how much)

The UpTown Foley Development Taskforce group and the Chamber are requesting the use of picnic tables and garbage cans for the people that eat at the food trucks.  The food trucks were started as a part of the UpTown Foley Development Taskforce's desire to increase pedestrian/customer traffic  to the downtown businesses and create awareness to the public of what is in Foley's downtown area. Since January 20, 2016 when the food trucks started coming parking in the adjacent private parking lot directly east of the South Baldwin Chamber of Commerce the foot traffic has increased due to the food truck stopping on Wednesday's.  The crowds have been large and there are no places to sit and eat after the food has been ordered.  The Chamber is requesting the City of Foley to furnish several picnic tables and garbage cans at this location to be in place in time just prior to the food truck arriving.
