WHEREAS, There is a need to make a few position changes in the Police Department to improve operational efficiencies. This is a housekeeping item which is budget neutral.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Authorizes deleting the "Corporal Community Services" position from the Pay Plan and adding a "Corporal/Detective" position to the Pay Plan (same pay grade & FLSA designation), effective pay period beginning January 9, 2018.
SECTION 2: Authorizes decreasing the number of "Detective" slots by one and increasing the number of "Patrol Officer" slots by one, effective pay period beginning January 9, 2018.
SECTION 3: Authorizes decreasing the number of "Corporal/Patrol K-9" slots by one and increasing the number of "Patrol Officer K-9" slots by one, effective pay period beginning January 9, 2018.
SECTION 4: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
