Terry Underwood said that he had been speaking with Martin Van Der Giessen of Van Der Giessen Nursery, Inc. and Mr. Van Der Giessen said that he would be happy to donate 100 native azaleas to the City. Mr. Underwood thought it would be a good idea to someday have a Native Azalea Trail. He has been trying to get in touch with Leslie to see where she would like these planted as they will need to be planted among Pine trees possibly in a cluster. Mr. Van Der Giessen requests a two week lead to get the plants ready for John Graham to pick up. Mr. Underwood also stated that he might be able to get the FAA to plant the azaleas as a partnership event.

WHEREAS, Martin Van Der Giessen of Van Der Giessen Nursey, Inc., 4701 Seabrook Road, Wilmer, Alabama 36587, is donating 100 native azaleas to the City of Foley, Alabama.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Accepts 100 three gallon buckets (cans) of native azaleas valued at $1250 from Van Der Giessen Nursery, Inc. to be placed in a suitable spot. John Graham will coordinate with Mr. Van Der Giessen on the pickup of the plants.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
