Summary
The Parks and Recreation Department is requesting permission to purchase a new John Deere 4 series tractor. The tractor will be shared regularly between Parks and Recreation and Horticulture for parks, trails, and landscaping maintenance. Our current tractor is a 1997 John Deere 4 series and we desperately need to upgrade it. Deere & Company has a tractor available which meets the needs of the departments for $41,741.16 using Sourcewell Ag Tractors Contract 082923-DAC (PG 1P CG 70) under account # 100-5030-5100.

WHEREAS, Parks and Recreation has budgeted for a tractor in the FY24 budget for $50,000, and
WHEREAS, we have an immediate need for a John Deere 4 Series Tractor, and
WHEREAS, we would like to purchase the mower from Deere & Company for $41,741.16 using Sourcewell Ag Tractors Contract 082923-DAC (PG 1P CG 70) under account # 100-5030-5100.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves Parks and Recreation to purchase a John Deere 4 series tractor from Deere & Company using Sourcewell Ag Tractors Contract 082923-DAC (PG 1P CG 70) under account # 100-5030-5100.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
