Summary
The Magnolia River has been identified as a stream in need of being cleaned out due to flooding caused by debris. GreenCo has provided a quote to perform this debris removal for $397,650.00. The County will take responsibility on cleaning out the portion of the river that falls in their jurisdiction, and we are requesting to remove the debris in the portion that falls in Foley's city limits.

WHEREAS, The Magnolia River has been identified as a stream in need of being cleaned out due to flooding caused by debris, and
WHEREAS, GreenCo has provided a quote to perform this debris removal for $397,650.00, and
WHEREAS, The Street Department wishes to move forward with this project and request up to $400,000.00 to perform the stream cleanout.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves the Magnolia River Stream Cleanout and accepts GreenCo's proposal for $397,650.00.
SECTION 2: Approves and appropriates up to $400,000.00 under Account# 400-3010-5102 R70 Mag.
SECTION 3: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
