WHEREAS, Ingram, Amazon Capital Services, Omnigraphics, Penworthy, Overdrive, Gale/Cengage, Book Page, Capstone, Matthew Bender, Blackstone, Midwest Tape, Polk City Directories, and Data Axle are primary sources for books, audio/visual, and e-books purchased by the City of Foley Public Library, and
WHEREAS, according to the Code of Alabama 1975 Section 41-16-51 [a] [8] library book purchases are exempt from the bid law.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Declares Ingram, Amazon Capital Services, Omnigraphics, Penworthy, Overdrive, Gale/Cengage, Book Page, Capstone, Matthew Bender, Blackstone, Midwest Tape, Polk City Directories, and Data Axle as primary sources for books, audio/visual materials, and e-books under Account #100-5020-6167 (Books/State Aide), Account # 100-5020-6169 (Books) and Account #100-5020-6168 (Audio/Visual) as budgeted in the FY25 General Fund Budget.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
