Summary
To better serve the citizens of Foley , the Commercial Sanitation Department requests to purchase three (3) 2023 Peterbilt 520 ASL Garbage Truck Chassis for $139,842.00 each, totaling $419,536.00, from Performance Peterbilt of Hattiesburg, LLC through Sourcewell Contract# 060920-PMC and three (3) 2023 New Way Front Load 40 yd Eject Bodies from Sansom Equipment Company for $128,133.00 each, totaling $384,399.00 through Sourcewll (NJPA) #091219-NWY . The total cost the three (3) completed ASL Garbage Trucks is 803,935.00. These are additions to our fleet and were included in the FY22 Budget under account# 601-4012-5100 for $825,000.00. Letters of Intent to purchase the chassis & bodies were authorized & signed by Mayor Ralph Hellmich under RES# 21-1289 on August 16, 2021.

WHEREAS, The Commercial Sanitation Department needs to purchase three (3) 2023 Peterbilt 520 ASL Garbage Truck Chassis for $139,842.00 each, totaling $419,536.00, from Performance Peterbilt of Hattiesburg, LLC through Sourcewell Contract# 060920-PMC and three (3) 2023 New Way Front Load 40 yd Eject Bodies from Sansom Equipment Company for $128,133.00 each, totaling $384,399.00 through Sourcewll (NJPA) #091219-NWY, and

WHEREAS, These are additions to our fleet and were included in the FY22 Budget under account# 100-4012-5100 for $825,000.00. Letters of Intent to purchase the chassis & bodies were authorized & signed by Mayor Ralph Hellmich under RES# 21-1289 on August 16, 2021.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves the Commercial Sanitation purchase of three (3) 2023 Peterbilt 520 ASL Garbage Truck Chassis for $139,842.00 each, totaling $419,536.00, from Performance Peterbilt of Hattiesburg, LLC through Sourcewell Contract# 060920-PMC and three (3) 2023 New Way Front Load 40 yd Eject Bodies from Sansom Equipment Company for $128,133.00 each, totaling $384,399.00 through Sourcewll (NJPA) #091219-NWY, for a full total cost of $803,935.00 for three (3) completed ASL Garbage Trucks Account# 601-4012-5100.
SECTION 3: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
