WHEREAS, attached Resolution #21-1102 approved the City of Foley Public Library's application for the FY22 LSTA Grant Application (the original request was for $20,000.00, however, $15,000.00 was awarded) and the required $3,750.00 match, if awarded, and
WHEREAS, the City of Foley Public Library has received notice of award from the state, and
WHEREAS, the City of Foley Public Library has designated the expenditure of the grant to purchase books.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Accepts the award of the $15,000.00 LSTA Grant and the $3,750.00 in matching funds, for a total of $18,750.00 to be used for the purchase of books.
SECTION 2: Amends the FY22 Budget in the amount of $15,000.00 to LSTA Grant Revenue Account # 201-5021-4100 and $18,750.00 to LSTA Grant Expense account # 201-5021-6190.
SECTION 3: Appoints John Jackson to serve as the grant manager who will be responsible for submitting all required reports to the granting agency and to the City of Foley's Grant Administrator.
SECTION 4: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
