Body

 

                     WHEREAS, a new gateway sign has been designed and is proposed for approval and installation at six entrance locations into the city, at the Foley Beach Express north and south, Highway 98 east and west, and Highway 59 north and south, and

 

                     WHEREAS, the cost of the entire project, including signage, landscaping, water and electricity to the sites, is approximately $39,000, and

 

                     WHEREAS, a total of $15,000 can be found in the remaining 2015 marketing budget, a resolution accepting the new design be adopted, and the funds be transferred to the capital account. 

 

                     NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:

 

                     SECTION 1:  Approve the proposed design for new gateway signs at each of the six entrances into the city.

 

                     SECTION 2:  Approve the transfer of 2015 budgeted funds of $15,000 to 12-665-7364, from the following accounts: $4,000 from 01-625-8110, $6,000 from 01-625-5210, $2,000 from 01-625-4010, and $3,000 from 01-625-6040.    

 

                     SECTION 3:                     This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
