WHEREAS, 24-1023RES approved permission to advertise and solicit bids, purchase of 1.32 wetland mitigation credits, Sawgrass Consulting's CEI proposal, and appropriated $1,500,000, and
WHEREAS, bids were received February 27, 2024 and McElhenney Construction Company was the lowest responsible bidder for the project in the amount of $1,631,889.17, and
WHEREAS, additional funding in the amount of $300,000.00 is necessary to pay for the construction improvements and the remaining costs of the items awarded in 24-1023RES.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Accepts McElhenny Construction Company's bid totaling $1,631,889.17 and appropriates an additional $300,000.00 to Account No #400-3020-5168.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
