WHEREAS, the City of Foley requests Council's permission to apply for the Alabama Power Foundation FY24 Gateway Grant on behalf of the South Baldwin Medical Museum, and
WHEREAS, applications are due on July 19, 2024, and
WHEREAS, the maximum award for this grant is $2,600 with no matching funds, and
WHEREAS, if granted, the funds will be used for self guided tour flyers, rack cards, and additional storyboards.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Authorizes the application to be submitted to the Alabama Power Foundation Gateway Grant on behalf of the South Baldwin Medical Museum.
SECTION 2: Council authorizes Mayor and other City officials to sign the application and other documents required to proceed grant request.
SECTION 3: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
