A Resolution Approving the Surplus & Disposal of 4 Seater Golf Cart and to move forward with the Purchase of a replacement 4 Seater Golf Cart for Foley Sports Tourism
Summary
Foley Sports Tourism request that the green four seater club cart be declared surplus and be approved for disposal by best means possible (auction or scrap). We request to move forward with the FY25 budgeted capital purchase of a four seater golf cart. The current golf cart has become costly to repair and is not worth the time or money being dedicated to keeping it in running condition. This purchase will be a replacement cart for the green four seater club cart, SN PH1316-360251. This cart will be used to transport event holders and patrons during the events as needed. The purchases will be made utilizing the Omnia Partners purchasing contract #52336 through Jerry Pate Turf and Irrigation.

WHEREAS, Foley Sports Tourism request permission to surplus a green four seater golf cart, and
WHEREAS, Foley Sports Tourism has a need to move forward with the FY25 capital purchase, a Toro Vista 4 Passenger Golf Cart, and
WHEREAS, the purchase will be made utilizing the Omnia Partners purchasing contract #52336 from Jerry Pate Turf and Irrigation, and
WHEREAS, the FY25 budget has allotted $15,000 for this purchase and the total purchase price does not exceed $15,000.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves to surplus & disposal, by best means possible (auction or scrap), of the green four seater club cart SN PH1316-360251.
SECTION 2: Approves the purchase of a Toro Vista 4 Passenger Golf Cart for $12,362.010 from Jerry Pate Turf and Irrigation utilizing the Omnia Partners purchasing contract #52336.
SECTION 3: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
