WHEREAS, Foley Main Street is planning to make enhancements to the alley behind the Hotel Magnolia and the easement of the Centurylink property from N. Alston Street to the alley which includes a historic walk and a potential pocket park, and
WHEREAS, this project was included in the FY23 Capital Planning document in the amount of $48,600, and
WHEREAS, it is requested that approval be granted to begin this project and appropriate funding.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approve the start of this project and appropriates $48,600 to account number 400-5060-5104 Main Street - Alley Ph 1-Historic Walk/Pocket Park.
SECTION 2: Approves going to bid for any aspects that are required and authorizes acceptance of the bid as long as it does not exceed the budgeted and available project amount.
SECTION 3: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
