WHEREAS, the South Baldwin Literacy Council is hosting their annual trivia night on Friday, August 23, 2024, which is their largest fundraiser of the year; and,
WHEREAS, the Foley Public Library would like to sponsor the event by hosting a table for $200.00.
WHEREAS, this is a budgeted item and will be paid out of the Library's Public Relations Account #100-5020-6052.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves the sponsorship of a table at the South Baldwin Literacy Council's annual trivia night in the amount of $200.00 as a useful public purpose of public funds.
SECTION 2: Approves this expenditure to be paid out of the Library's Public Relations Account #100-5020-6052.
SECTION 3: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
