WHEREAS, Resolution No. 26-1255 authorized the acceptance of grant offers from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in the amount of $137,000 and the Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) in the amount of $3,605 for the final reimbursement of certain improvements at the Foley Municipal Airport related to the construction of an 8-unit T-Hangar; and,
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 26-1255 authorized the Mayor or the Airport Manager to enter into an agreement with the FAA, but did not expressly authorize the Mayor or the Airport Manager to enter into an agreement with ALDOT; and,
WHEREAS, it is the intent of the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, to authorize the Mayor or the Airport Manager to enter into any necessary agreements with both the FAA and ALDOT in connection with the grant offers and final reimbursement for the 8-unit T-Hangar project; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to amend Resolution No. 26-1255 to clarify such authorization.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Section 1 of Resolution No. 26-1255 is hereby amended to read as follows:
SECTION 2: Accepts the FAA grant offer in the amount of $137,000 and the ALDOT grant offer in the amount of $3,605 and authorizes, directs and empowers the Mayor or the Airport Manager to enter into the necessary agreements with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) in connection with the grant offers and final reimbursement for the 8-unit T-Hangar project.
SECTION 3: All other provisions of Resolution No. 26-1255 shall remain unchanged and in full force and effect.
SECTION 4: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
