Summary
The Parks and Recreation Department is in need of a reel mower for the sportsplex. This addition is needed to eventually replace an aging mower. The lead time on these mowers is 18-20 months so we're attempting to plan ahead and eventually replace an existing older mower before it breaks down. The new mower will also allow us to continue to maintain our athletic fields at a high level. The mower will be purchased through the Sourcewell Grounds Maintenance Contract 031121-DAC (PG NB CG 70).

WHEREAS, Parks and Recreation Department budgeted $85,000 for a reel mower for field maintenance, and
WHEREAS, We need to purchase a new reel mower to eventually replace an existing aging mower, and
WHEREAS, We plan to purchase the mower through the Sourcewell Grounds Maintenance Contract 031121-DAC (PG NB CG 70).
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves the purchase of a reel mower from Deere & Company for $85,081.16 through the Sourcewell Grounds Maintenance Contract 031121-DAC (PG NB CG 70) using account 100-5030-5100.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
