WHEREAS, Hurricane Milton, which is projected to make landfall in the State of Florida as a Category 5 hurricane will cause catastrophic damage, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, wishes to offer assistance to residents in and around the initial landfall location through contact with local officials.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves up to $1,500 in a one-time support payment for the victims of Hurricane Milton under to General Government Administration Public Relations account 100-1011-6052.
SECTION 2: Approves employee time and the use of equipment needed to conduct relief efforts in accordance with City policies and procedures.
SECTION 3: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
