Resolution of Support for the Wolf Bay Watershed Management Plan
Summary
The Wolf Bay Watershed Management Plan was completed July 2020 with the City of Foley being a major partner in the development. The project was managed by the Mobile Bay National Estuary Program with plan development by Volkert, Inc. and Allen Engineering and Science. The plan details existing conditions, climate vulnerability, identification of critical issues, management measures and implementation strategies. Since its completion, partners have collaborated to implement the management measures identified. Foley has received multiple grants due to the projects identified in the plan. The Environmental and Nature Parks Department recommends the resolution of support for this regional plan.

WHEREAS, the City of Foley comprises a large portion of the headwaters of the Wolf Bay watershed, and
WHEREAS, the Mobile Bay National Estuary Program contracted Volkert, Inc. and Allen Engineering and Science to develop the comprehensive watershed management plan with the City of Foley as a major partner, and
WHEREAS, the plan was completed in July 2020 and identified critical issues and recommended management measures for the watershed.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Grants a resolution of support for the implementation of the Wolf Bay Watershed Management Plan.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
