WHEREAS, the Foley Fire Department requests Council’s approval to submit an application to the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation to purchase a Digital Fire Extinguisher Training System to be used to teach various groups how to properly use a fire extinguisher, and
WHEREAS, the total purchase price is $18,000 with 100% grant funded with no match requirements, and
WHEREAS, the application portal opens October 12, 2023 and will accept 600 applications.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves the Foley Fire Department’s request to submit an application to the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation Grant.
SECTION 2: Council authorizes Mayor and other City officials to sign the application and other documents required to proceed grant request.
SECTION 3: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
