WHEREAS, Sealed Bids for Upgrades to Centennial Fountain & the Rose Trail were publicly opened on April 26, 2022 at 2:00pm, and
WHEREAS, Avery Landscaping & Associates, LLC was the lowest responsible bidder in the amount of $621,360.05
WHEREAS, Resolution 19-1387 appropriated $262,900 for project construction and $32,000 for Riviera Utilities to remove a power pole, and
WHEREAS, Resolution 19-1367 appropriated $27,100 for WAS Design, Inc. for architectural design and construction observation, and
WHEREAS, Resolution 20-1267 appropriated $35,000 for WAS Design, Inc. for additional funding for professional services.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approve Avery Landscaping & Associates, LLC as the lowest responsible bidder in the amount of $621,360.05 for the Upgrades to Centennial Fountain and the Rose Trail.
SECTION 2: Appropriates additional project funds in the amount of $358,460. under Account No. 400-3020-5147 R54 Rose/Cent .
SECTION 3: Appropriates an additional $2,326 to account #400-3020-5147 R54 Cent for bid advertising cost.
SECTION 4: Appropriates an additional $1,638 to account #400-3020-5147 R54 Rose for Riviera to add water service.
SECTION 5: Appropriates $35,000 for WAS Design, Inc. in accordance with the Change Order approved by Resolution 20-1267
SECTION 6: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
