WHEREAS, feral swine are causing property damage in several areas within the City, and
WHEREAS, there is a need to have the feral swine removed for public health and safety reasons, and
WHEREAS, the USDA, Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service and Wildlife Services will provide wildlife damage management services and control of the feral swine, and
WHEREAS, this will require a Cooperative Service Agreement between the City and USDA-APHIS-Wildlife Services and a fee in an amount not to exceed $2,000 paid to them to provide the services for one year.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves the execution of an agreement for wildlife damage management and control services with the USDA-APHIS-Wildlife Services.
SECTION 2: Appropriates $2,000.00 for wildlife damage management and control services under Account No. 100-3020-6020.
SECTION 3: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
