Due to substantive change of the technical skill requirements of the IT Technician I position, the position was recently re-analyzed by The Archer Company. The conclusion was that the position should be re-titled to Network Technician and that it be raised from a Grade 10 to a Grade 12. The City Administrator, HR Director and supervisor concur with the recommendation. The cost to adjust the employee currently serving in this position is approximately $4,148.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves amending the Pay Classification Plan and converting the IT Technician at a Grade 10 to Network Technician at a Grade 12 effective with the Pay Period Beginning November 4, 2014, and
SECTION 2: Approves funds in support of this action in the amount of $4,148
Salaries 01-620-1010 - $3,590
Payroll Tax 01-620-1030 - $275
Retirement 01-620-1050 - $250
Life/Disability 01-620-1041 - $20
Workers Comp 01-620-1160 - $13
SECTION 3: Approves employee #01-1009 to remain in this position upon it's conversion.
SECTION 4: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
