The Nature Parks Department requests permission to apply for the FY2026 Gulf Coast Resource Conservation and Development Council (Gulf Coast RC&D) Grant. WHEREAS, the Nature Parks Department requests permission to apply for the FY2026 Gulf Coast Resource Conservation and Development Council (Gulf Coast RC&D) Grant, and
WHEREAS, the grant will be accepting applications starting April 1st through June 30th, and
WHEREAS, the Nature Parks Department will be requesting $15,000 to go towards a new trail and interpretive signage for Graham Creek Nature Preserve, and
WHEREAS, the City will be responsible for the difference between the project cost and the awarded grant.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves the Nature Parks Department to apply for the FY2026 Gulf Coast Resource Conservation and Development Council Grant to go towards a new trail and interpretive signage for Graham Creek Nature Preserve.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
