The Fire Department has received a generous donation from the Gulf Coast Elks Lodge intended to aid in the purchase of rescue equipment, specifically air-powered high pressure lifting bags. These air bags will enable us to equip our additional on-duty engine crew and provide greater rescue capabilities. We are requesting that our Fire Department Donations Account 01-5044 be amended to reflect this unbudgeted $2500, and that our Rescue Equipment Account 01-609-5040 be amended to show an additional $2500, for a net affect of $0.

WHEREAS, the Foley Fire Department has received a generous donation of $2500 from the Gulf Coast Elks Lodge, and
WHEREAS, this donation is intended to support the Foley Fire Department through the purchase of fire/rescue equipment, and
WHEREAS, these funds will be used to purchase air-powered high pressure lifting bags for greater rescue capabilities.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Accepts this donation and amends the FY16 Budget to reflect an increase of $2500 in the Fire Department Donations account 01-5044 and a $2500 increase in the Rescue Equipment Account 01-609-5040, for a net affect of $0.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
