The Foley Police Department has received unbudgeted donations this fiscal year from multiple sources to include the United States Police Canine Association (USPCA). We are requesting to use $15,000.00 of this unbudgeted donation money to purchase equipment for the K9 Unit. We are requesting to increase the K9 Expense account 100-2010-6145 in the amount of $15,000.00 and increase the Revenue Donations account 100-2010-4651 in the amount of $15,000.00, resulting in a $0 effect.

WHEREAS, the Police Department has received unbudgeted donations this fiscal year from multiple sources to include (USPCA) and,
WHEREAS, the Police Department requests to use some of the unbudgeted donations funds in the amount of $15,000.00 to purchase equipment for the K9 Unit.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Accepts the unbudgeted donation amount of $15,000.00 and amends the Police Donation Revenue account #100-2010-4651.
SECTION 2: Approves the use of the unbudgeted donation funds to purchase K9 equipment and amends K9 Expense account # 100-2010-6145 by $15,000.00, resulting in budget neutral action.
SECTION 3: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
