WHEREAS, The southwest quadrant of Foley has seen significant growth and an increase in traffic volumes in recent years, and
WHEREAS, Engineering has been instructed to consider traffic calming measures that align with current industry standards along Park Avenue, and
WHEREAS, Engineering has requested a professional services proposal from Capstone Engineering for implementing traffic calming measures along Park Avenue, and
WHEREAS, design alternatives will be presented to the City in order to determine the "best-fit" solution for this corridor.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves Capstone Engineering's proposal in the amount of $38,750.00 for the professional services and appropriates funds under Account No. #400-3020-5177.
SECTION 2: Authorizes the Mayor to execute the professional services agreement with Capstone Engineering.
SECTION 3: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
