WHEREAS, Resolution #24-1188 approved Library Policies & Procedures for the Foley Public Library, and
WHEREAS, Changes to the Alabama Public Library Service Administrative Code section 520-2-2 Supplemental State Aid to Public Libraries was certified as of July 15, 2024 by the Alabama Legislative Services Agencies, and
WHEREAS, In order to be eligible to receive FY2025 State Aid, public libraries must submit revised policies that fulfill the requirements of Chapter 520-2-2 Supplemental State Aid to Public Libraries, and
WHEREAS, These changes will modify the Foley Public Library's Lending Policy, Unattended Children's Policy, Collection Development Policy and Policy Appendices.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Amend Resolution #24-1188 to modify the Foley Public Library's Lending Policy, Unattended Children's Policy, Collection Development Policy and Policy Appendices in accordance with the APLS Administrative Code section 520-2-2 Supplemental State Aid.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
