WHEREAS, the Bruce Childress family would like to build a yard swing for the Foley Police Department to own and enjoy during breaks, lunches or other opportunities they may have, and
WHEREAS, this is offered as an expression of the Bruce Childress family's appreciation for the Foley Police Department for the many years that they lived under their protection and received personal benefits from their service, and
WHEREAS, the Bruce Childress family plan to build the swing at their facility and erect it facing the Foley Police Department's pond.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Accepts the Bruce Childress family donation of a swing to the Foley Police Department as appreciation for the many years of protection.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
