WHEREAS, the City of Foley solicited and opened bids for one (1) truck chassis with a flatbed body on March 11, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. and the results are as follows:

WHEREAS, Chuck Stevens Automotive submitted the lowest responsible bid in the amunt of $42,290.00 and Moyer Ford Sales, Inc. submitted a bid in the amount of $42,312.00, a difference of $22.00, and,
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Department recommended accepting Moyer Ford's bid utilizing the 3% preference allowed for a resident bidder.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: In accordance with the local preference, accepts Moyer Ford Sales, Inc.'s bid for one (1) truck chassis with a flatbed body in the amount of $42,312.00. This is a budgeted item under Account No. 01-607-7010.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
