WHEREAS, resolution 16-1081 approved the Foley Public Library's application for the $20,000.00 LSTA Grant with a 25% match ($5,000.00), and
WHEREAS, the Foley Public Library has designated the expenditure of the grant to purchase materials in support of the Non-Fiction Collection.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Accepts the award of the $20,000.00 LSTA Grant and approves $5,000.00 in matching funds for a total of $25,000 to be used for the purchase of materials in support of the Non-Fiction Collection.
SECTION 2: Appoints John Jackson to serve as the grant manager who will be responsible for submitting all required reports to the granting agency and to the city's grant administrator.
SECTION 3: The grant activity will occur in FY17 and the revenue and expense is currently included in the FY17 Budget.
SECTION 4: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
