WHEREAS, the Municipal Complex Department requests permission to apply for the FY24 Energy Efficiency and Community Block Grant Program, and
WHEREAS, the applications are due May 15, 2024, and
WHEREAS, the minimum grant that can be requested is $50,000 with a maximum of $250,000 with a minimum of a 5% match, and
WHEREAS, the project will be requesting funding for energy efficient upgrades (insulation, HVAC, weatherproofing) to the Post Office building.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves the Municipal Complex Department's request to submit an application to the FY24 Energy Efficiency and Community Block Grant Program.
SECTION 2: Council authorizes Mayor and other City officials to sign the application and other documents required to proceed grant request.
SECTION 3: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
