WHEREAS, The Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (ADCNR), State Lands Division (SLD), Coastal Section is accepting project suggestions to be funded through the Alabama Gulf of Mexico Energy Security Act Program (GOMESA) by July 30, 2021, and
WHEREAS, the City of Foley Nature Parks Department requests to submit a proposal for consideration, and
WHEREAS, the project submitted for GOMESA consideration is Foley Nature Parks Expansion and Enhancements Phase II, and
WHEREAS, the potential cost of this project is $4,600,000, and GOMESA has no matching requirements.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Council grants permission to the Nature Parks Department to submit a project proposal for the GOMESA FY22 Request for Project Suggestions.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
